Unique S'mores Recipes Perfect for Any Outdoor Party

The S'more cookie has been a camping trip staple ever since The Sandlot aired in 1993, but the graham and mallow combo isn't the only delicious take a person can have on this classic midnight snack.

The Shortbread S'more: Add a sweet and savory flavor to the s'mores recipe by substituting shortbread cookies for the graham crackers, dark chocolate for the milk chocolate, keeping the original marshmallow, and adding a sliced strawberry and a hazelnut spread.

The Birthday S'more: This treat is great for outdoor birthday parties! Replace the graham cracker with cupcake toaster pastries, and use milk chocolate and pink marshmallows for a combination everyone will love.

The S'moreo: This recipe is my personal favorite! So easy, and yet still so good! Use an Oreo cookie as a substitute to the graham cracker while sticking with the classic milk chocolate and marshmallow. I also like to add peanut butter to my smoreos for some extra flavor!

The Christmas S'more: A recipe that is perfect year-round, this dessert is a crowd favorite! It includes the original graham cracker and marshmallow with an addition of mint chocolate (I prefer Andes Mints) and crushed peppermints or candy canes.

The Sunshine S'more: A deemed summer time favorite, this sweet smore is amazing. The recipe uses lemon cookies instead of graham crackers, white chocolate, marshmallow, and lemon curd sauce.

The PB&C S'more: If you're looking for a rich chocolatey treat, this recipe is for you! Use the original graham cracker, milk chocolate, and marshmallow, and then add crushed Peanut Butter cups and a caramel sauce.

10 Must Have Items for First Time Campers

Folding chairs are great for outdoor use, but they can take up a good amount of space. The portable pocket chair is exactly what its name says it is. It’s a portable folding chair that can be so compact as to fit in your pocket. It’s a space saver, and great for the beach or camping trips.

Flashlights are a must have when camping, but one necessity often forgotten is the alarm clock. This gadget is a two in one, and can be very useful, for example, as a night light for little kids or an alarm to wake up a family for a sunrise hike.

3.      Waterproof pill storage keychain
These keychains are great ways to keep your pills safe when away from home. Using a keyring to keep the pill keychains organized will ensure you’re taking the correct medications, just as you would at home.

4.      Loveseat Camping Chair
A unique and romantic take on folding chairs, this loveseat camping chair is perfect! This chair seats two and is portable like any other folding chair. (Not as portable as the pocket chair, but still very fun and cute!)

5.      Popcorn popper
Fresh popped popcorn from a campfire is one of my all-time favorite camping snacks, and is easily done a with mess-free, hand-held popcorn popper. Mix the popcorn with marshmallows and M&M’s for a fun nighttime treat!

6.      Camp Oven
Ever had the craving for cinnamon rolls on a Sunday morning while camping? This oven takes care of it all! Baking made easy from anywhere you could imagine.

7.      Smores maker
Smores are a must have treat on summer camping trips. This smores maker will give you a mess-free, perfect smore every time. It’s easy to clean, and will undoubtedly be used often.

8.      Camping Hammock
Portable hammocks are such a fun seat for kids while camping. They latch between two trees usually and are great for stargazing. Your kids will be observing constellations for hours, and will most likely want to spend the night in them as well!

9.      Handheld Shower head

State park bath houses aren’t always the most sanitary places to shower, but this handheld shower head eliminates all your bath house worries. The showerhead hooks to a branch or post and uses water from a bucket to give you a private, cleansing
shower.

10.  Inflatable pillow

Pillows are a necessity for camping, especially if you’re experiencing neck problems. Finding the right pillow for you can be a hassle, but these portable, inflatable pillows give you the option to adjust your pillow to your needs.

Sleeping Bags - While selecting the sleeping bags, ensure you get the correct size and shape. For children, it is best to select the ones that are adjustable so that the kid can grow with it. In terms of shape, the rectangular ones have the advantage of being joined together to form one big double. The bags that come in this shape will often have a pocket in the cowl which when staffed forms a comfortable pillow.

This leaves smaller gaps hence keeping you warm. You can acquire the mummy bags in different shapes and sizes. Better still, there are male and female versions in order to cope with varying body sizes.

Down filled sleeping bags - The down filled sleeping bags comprise of an insulated filling. The filling is made from usually natural down or synthetic fibers. The birds that are said to produce the best down are the geese and ducks since they are thermally efficient. One vital consideration with the down sleeping bags is allergies. You also have to be extra careful with it, as it can be compressed to a solid mass if allowed to dampen.

Conclusion - The options discussed above are just a few examples of what exists in the camping market. There are more bedding for campers options of the sleeping bags but you need to understand the positive and negative impacts they all have. Again, you are not limited to shopping from the local stores close to you. There are online vendors who offer quality camping bedding solutions at affordable prices.
